Happy holiday season everyone 👋🎉

This season is a great time to celebrate with loved ones while also being mindful of our impact on the environment. Here are some ideas we gathered from different sources  for a sustainable and eco-friendly holiday season💚 💚 💚

🎁 Offer home-made or upcycled gifts:  gift-giving by making something your loved ones are sure to cherish, like a home-made batch of cookies or a hand-knitted scarf. Alternatively, you could source your gifts from companies that upcycle items or use recycled sustainable materials

💃 Create a new holiday look: Rethink your holiday look and celebrate vintage and longer-lasting clothing. If you add something new, consider checking out vintage or swapping. If you buy new, buy better. You can choose amongst a growing number of designers and brands that have committed to sustainable supply chains and manufacturing

💡Use LED lights: LED lights consume less energy and last longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. They are also available in a variety of colors and styles, so you can still create a festive atmosphere while reducing your carbon footprint.

🍲Reduce food waste: The holiday season is often associated with indulgent meals and treats. To reduce food waste, plan your meals ahead of time, buy only what you need, and consider donating any excess food to local food banks or shelters.

🧳Travel sustainably: If you’re travelling during the holiday season, consider taking public transportation or carpooling with friends and family. If you’re driving, make sure your vehicle is well-maintained and your tires are properly inflated to improve fuel efficiency.

♻️Recycle: Make sure to recycle any wrapping paper, cardboard boxes, and other recyclable materials after opening your gifts. You can also reuse wrapping paper and gift bags from previous years.

🌱Plant a tree: Consider planting a tree or donating to a reforestation project to offset your carbon footprint during the holiday season.
