Extensive land degradation through tree cutting and use of fossil fuels for cooking has contributed to greenhouse gas emission. Fortunately, through innovative approaches, we can mitigate these environmental impacts. By incorporating sustainable and clean cooking methods like solar energy, responsible biomass utilization, and biogas, we can provide practical and efficient cooking solutions that not only address the pressing issue of land degradation but also contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Embracing these alternative technologies not only promotes environmental sustainability but also enhances the overall resilience and efficiency of cooking practices. The In Our Shoes Clean Cooking Webinar seeks to interact with Youth champions taking the lead in clean cooking, hearing their challenges and success stories as they seek to make the world a better place. Ahead of the webinar we would like to hear your thoughts on the following:

  1. What is the role of technology in reducing emissions from cooking stoves using wood, coal  and any other fossil fuel?
  2. How is agriculture waste a solution to clean cooking methods?
  3. What makes bio gas an alternative option and why should people embrace it?
  4. What is the role of gender, youth and people with disabilities in clean cooking initiaives?
  5. What are the challenges in coming up with clean cooking initiatives?
  6. Do you have any experiences with Clean Cooking Initiatives?
