The Regional Conference of Youth for the Middle East and North Africa (RCOY MENA 2026) is the official regional youth climate conference organized under YOUNGO, the Children and Youth Constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The four-day conference will take place in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, from 16–19 September 2026. It will bring together more than 500 participants from over 20 countries, including young climate leaders, policymakers, researchers, government representatives, United Nations agencies, academia, civil society organizations and private-sector stakeholders.

• Adaptation, Resilience and Human Well-being
• Just Transition, Green Economy and Climate Innovation
• Climate Finance, Governance and Inclusive Leadership
Who can apply?
• Young people aged 18–35
• Applicants from the Middle East and North Africa region
• Young people interested or actively engaged in climate action, environmental sustainability, youth leadership, innovation, research, policy, entrepreneurship or community engagement
• Applicants available to participate throughout all four conference days
What will participants gain?
• Capacity-building in climate policy, negotiation, leadership, innovation and project development
• Participation in workshops, policy labs, climate negotiation simulations and youth–decision-maker dialogues
• Access to the regional climate hackathon and Youth Climate and Innovation Exhibition
• Networking with young leaders, governments, UN agencies, civil society, academia and the private sector
• The opportunity to contribute to the MENA Regional Youth Statement
Funding: Applicants may request full support covering round-trip airfare, accommodation and meals, or partial support covering accommodation and meals. Funding and travel support are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
