Welcome to the Movement Building bootcamp!
This bootcamp equips young climate leaders with the tools and confidence to mobilize people and ideas into collective action. Participants will explore both online and offline campaigning strategies across community, regional, and global contexts. From storytelling and narrative-building to strategic engagement and coalition-building, the bootcamp strengthens the ability to inspire, organize, and sustain meaningful climate movements, delivered through the following structured workshops:
- 12 May: Reimagining New Futures (13:00–15:00 UTC)
- 19 May: Building Community (13:00–15:00 UTC)
- 26 May: Strategies to Shift Power (13:00–15:00 UTC)
- 2 June: How to Sustain a Movement (13:00–15:00 UTC)
- 10 June: Virtual Climate Climate Café (13:00–14:00 UTC)
As a cohort member attending the Movement Building bootcamp, you are expected to attend each of the 4 sessions, actively participate in discussions between the sessions on this platform, and participate in the virtual climate café. Please note that full participation and attendance of all bootcamp sessions is required to receive your certificate of completion.
This group within the Youth4Climate platform is your one-stop shop for engaging with fellow program participants after each bootcamp session - share your reflections, experiences, resources, and skills so others can learn from you, and react to the content of others so you can learn more yourself.
Active participation on the platform is also accompanied by a point system - the more you engage, the more points you earn, eventually rewarding you with badges and milestones to recognize your contributions. More information on the platform's gamification features can be found here.
DISCLAIMER: Participation in this channel does not automatically register you for the mentorship programme or bootcamp sessions. To take part, you must complete the required “Systems Change x Behavioural Science for Climate Action” prerequisite e-course and sign up using the official registration form.
